He loved Bill Vukovich and Eddie Sachs for reasons I never understood. This was pre TV so you have to wonder ….STRONG personalities??…. My wife went to school with Ruttman’s kids in the 60′s. When I met her and learned that…. I loved Troy Ruttman too…for my own personal reason maybe?

Empathy

Every year I watch the Indy 500… I hope for something out of the ordinary to happen at the Brickyard..perhaps an underdog win?… or..I hate to say..maybe even something that mark these meaningless endeavors somehow historic..?
